Richard Heinberg makes an eloquent argument for Peak Oil at International Inquiry into 9-11 at San Francisco (March 2004). Many oil fields have reached their peak and new discoveries are not keeping up with the ever increasing demand. In order to avoid future wars for oil we need to radically restructure our economies.
