Legendary Texas oilman and chair of BP Capital, T. Boone Pickens, holdsan impromptu video question and answer session at ASPO Houston withGlobal Public Media's Julian Darley and other journalists. Pickenstalks about the peaking of world oil production, which he says occurredin 2006.

79 year old billionaire T. Boone Pickens is ranked by Forbes Magazine as the 131st richest person in the world. Pickens was a well-known takeover artist who he grew his company, Mesa Petroleum, by acquisitions rather than by exploration alone. In recent years Pickens has spoken out on the issue of peak oil and he advocates, amongst other responses, the promotion of renewable energy technologies.

Max Refining Capacity or Max Oil Production?

When hearing something like this come from T. Boone Pickens, one can't help but wonder what he's into now? Well, my oh my! Look who's peddling alternative enrgy in Texas. You see Mr. Pickens, on one hand the oil companies are telling us that there is plenty of oil, just not enough refining capacity. On the other hand you are telling us there just isn't enough oil out there for us to refine. S#@t in one hand, C#$p in the other... it stinks no matter which direction I look. . Mr. Pickens is a shameless hawker of whatever nonsense will make him richer. He shamelessly donated millions to the swift boat veterans who told lies about John kerry's military record.. (This from a man who never had the courage to serve in our military). Whatever Mr. Pickens is selling, I guarantee it benefits T. Boone Pickens more than it does anyone else.
